Saferproducts.com

People in Pittsburgh now have a website to both report to and learn about potentially dangerous products made or sold in the United States. I recommend taking a look at www.saferproducts.com.

The US consumer product safety commission has been put in charge of protecting the public from unreasonable  risk of personal injury and/or death from products sold in Pittsburgh and the US. The website allows for consumers to file complaints about dangerous or defective products. Once a complaint is filed, it is presented to the product manufacturer who is permitted to file a response or statement about the product, complaint or defect.  Then the note on the product is formally filed on the safer products site for other consumers to search and learn about.

As a new parent, I think this website has some real promise as a great resource to investigate every product coming into our households. Share this post :
